Craftybee fashion world we produce different types of bags and accessories. We have up to twenty different items in our collection and we are ready to create new items as the need arises.

Making different items to sell and raise money is fine but we also believe in human empowerment; as a result of this we run short skills training programs to help vulnerable people in different communities. By doing this we put a smile on their faces because they now have a way to raise money to solve their problems.

As a fashion brand we have played a great role in our country Sierra Leone at this time of world pandemic (covid-19) by producing thousands of facemasks which were used by office workers, students, bike riders etc.… Production of facemasks was also something we taught our students because it was in high demand.

In Sierra Leone plastic bags forms a high percentage of waste which actually causes threat to different spices of animals, causes pollution and flooding. Plastic bags are found on the shores of our rivers and beaches, on streets and drainages for this reason the European Union delegation Sierra Leone together with Freetown Pitch Night organized a special pitch night to hear commercial solutions on the theme; Replacing single plastic use.

I showed interest by applying and I was called to pitch my idea which is to use affordable fabric bags including a 100% cotton shopping bag which is durable, reusable and biodegradable.

This event took place on the 14th October 2020 and I was announced winner of the pitch. Months later I was sponsored by European Union delegation Sierra Leone, Irish Embassy, Innovation Axis Sierra Leone and Freetown pitch night to visit a company in Rwanda called Dokmai Rwanda to improve on my skills.

In Rwanda I learnt new skills and improve on old ones. At the factory I visited in Rwanda there were different industrial sewing machines which could actually make work easier so I decided to take another venture to create a backpack with a solar attached that charges phone and also has a bulb. As we all know not all villages have electricity so this bag would be great for students in the villages.
